One of the first things we did with our land was to plant five acres of mixed native woodland. Since then we have also been planting hedge lines along some of our permanent field boundaries.
As well as providing a mix of wildlife habitats, once mature our woods will be managed in a coppice rotation to provide a sustainable firewood supply.
We have maintained, improved and extended our hedgerows and have started laying them. This not only renews old hedges but benefits wildlife too.
